The Fortress Of Dawn - Anthem - Ep 11 - BETRAYED!

**HUGE PLOT SPOILERS AHEAD!**
Owen was still pretty bent out of shape about taking backseat to Faye and Haluk but we didn’t really have anything for him to do that wouldn’t jeopardize all of our safety. Faye was pretty confident that she could rig a work-around to make the fortress think I was a lancer of Dawn. The Dominion were laying in wait, with a flight grounder, turrets, and storm brutes. We absolutely wrecked them then entered the fortress.
After we snooped around a bit, the bodiless voice of Arden Vassa, maker of the first javelins, informed us that we had to pass tests to pass through the halls of the fortress. The visions were half-real, half-not, since our bodies didn’t go anywhere but we somehow used real ammo? Faye also lost all contact with us during these vision-quests. The first was a fight with an Ancient Ash Titan! Good thing we’ve been practicing on the War Titans. The second trial was a re-enactment of General Tarsis’ last stand, with Dominion substituted for urgoth. The final was a look back through my memories and a pep talk with General Helena Tarsis herself and Arden Vassa.
We were finally permitted to enter the room that stored the Javelin of Dawn. That’s where everything when sideways. Owen BETRAYED us! All his anger about being kept on the sidelines spilled over and he STOLE the javelin. Owen planned to take it to the Monitor to have him spare the fort.
Owen did a number on the strider and it took a while to fix. While we worked on it, Haluk gave pretty speech about not blaming myself for Owen’s betrayal. After we got Faye out of her chair, she gave us some AMAZING news! Between the research we found in the Fortress of Dawn and her good look at the Javelin of Dawn, she was pretty sure she could come up with some things to upgrade our own javelin. We were back in the game!
