Lost Arcanist - Anthem - Ep 3 - Matthias Is ALREADY In Trouble
Welcome to Mythkiller Productions! As always, I will be your host, SiriMythkiller, as I continue my journey in Anthem! Things got quite interesting in and around Fort Tarsis after I finished the last mission.
**SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT!** I will be including the cinematic cutscenes, so if you don’t want to see those, don’t watch any further!
First, I met up with my cypher, Owen. He seems to be a real prankster, as he was in the middle of making another cypher think there was something wrong with her chair. What exactly these chairs do, I have no idea, but Owen seemed to get a good kick of it. He obviously wants to be a javelin pilot and I think he’d be a good one if he settled down a bit.
Afterwards, I went to “check out the Forge” in my suit, only to have an unexpected visitor. She seemed very fishy to me but Owen REALLY wanted another job. Also, Matthias Summer, an Arcanist we met during the Demo, was involved. I can’t believe he is starting trouble ALREADY! Still, Tassyn promised to “make it worth your while” so I accepted.
The Forge and my new javelin became available. I picked the Interceptor, since it was my favorite in the Demo. I spent a bit of time working on my coloring and it took awhile to actually get my various rewards for pre-orders (not that I actually used them). After I was settled, I headed out into the field to find Matthias.
This mission was a bit of a slog. There was A LOT of smaller skirmishes that finally led me to The Dungeon where Matthias was hiding. He set off several small explosions that THANKFULLY did NOT bring down the ruin but really upset the Scar. I had to deal with several heavy hitters before they scattered.
Back at the fort, I met with Tassyn, Matthias, and Yarrow, a commander of sorts. They were concerned that the Dominion were possibly looking towards Fort Tarsis. Yarrow explained a bit about the Dominion and how they actually CAUSED the Heart of Rage Cataclysm. These are seriously BAD dudes. Tassyn wanted to collect some more information before she sent me out again.
I did have a major hiccup when I accidently tried to access the forge before I was allowed to. Again, nothing that truly upset me.
