Raven X Tear The Roof Up
So I just listened to Matt Fax's new unreleased track 'Raven' on ASOT 1172 and was sorta blown away at the production. I've been a fan of his for a decent time, but Raven felt like it was something different from his Deep Trance work of previous (definitely my favourite track of his this year). Obviously, I needed to make a mashup of it, and had a decent idea as to what the acapella could be. Tear Up The Roof's feel is quite similar, so it felt like a match made in heaven. Some modulation was needed with the acapella (bringing up the high frequencies in the beginning, later raising the pitch) to keep it interesting as I know the lyrics sorta repeat itself, yet I felt those changes worked with the instrumental. Probably one of my favourite mashups made in recent memory due to the vibes alone (this would sound great in the club).
