Cotton Claw Vs. Neiked (Ft. Dyo) - Sunset Glow X Sexual
Like so much of the content on this channel, this mashup came from a random place; OlliOlli World. I started getting into it again a couple days ago in the first time in months (the gameplay gets addicting fast, especially when experimenting with moves in your own time and attempting to maintain momentum). Whilst playing, I was listening to it's soundtrack (which is fantastic, I love the future trap/house vibe of the OST; defo check it out) when I came across the track "Sunset Glow." This was giving me proper Young Franco vibes (ironic as the track pre-dates him lol) and knew it would be an interesting mashup. It took a bit to find the right acapella (with tracks like these, you can't pick any old vocal - thematically, they need to blend well), until I remembered "Neiked." It's a nostalgic bop that I enjoy quite a bit, and felt the vocals would fit well. Of course there wasn't an official rip of the vocals, so isolating them was the next thing. Luckily, they sound pretty clear all things considered, which I'm quite grateful for because I love the combination of the two. Plus, I did some additional touches here and there such as implementing a lower octave rendition of the vocals and modulating the delay in some areas (the latter of which I am way too proud of lol). Overall, I had a blast making this mashup, it being one of my more out there releases (which makes me love it even more).
