God, Survive is such a BANGER!!! For the 12 people who watched my "My Top 15 Songs Of The Year" (appreciate y'all), I had Survive at 5 (despite it being a late addition) due to how strong of an impression it made on me. Upon reflection, I still see it as a work of art, and quite possibly Lane 8's best piece of production to date. My original intention when reworking the track was to extend the final drop as my only flaw with the track was that it's last drop was too short. Soon, I began experimenting and suddenly, the "wow" sample from Tritonal's "Never Be The Same" was there (yeah, I don't know either). To be honest, I like what I did with the final drop overall as it now as a different feel that further expands upon the progressive vibe with a stop-start nature to the structure. And of course, I had to make the ending super ethereal by heavily modulating an earlier section. For anyone looking forward a small subversion to the OG, I'd say this should suffice nicely.
