VMIX - Phone In Guests: Google Voice, Dante, and vMix Scripting
While there are many IP-based solutions available for bringing remote guests into productions, there could still be times when having someone join by phone is necessary - especially as a “Plan B” when other options are not viable. On today’s show we’ll combine Google Voice, Dante and a bit of vMix scripting to cover how to set this up in your own studio. It will include having the Caller connect ‘OFF-AIR’ with a producer then switched ‘ON-AIR’ when ready, and a Push-To-Talk option that gives the producer IFB capabilities with the caller.
