It is possible to give a 3-D look to motion graphics composed of just 2-D elements. By having those elements in the background move at a different speed from the ones in the foreground, you can create a perception of depth. This perceived sense of depth is known as the PARALLAX effect.
On today’s show, we will go over how to create the parallax effect inside vMix using just input layers – no external applications needed. We’ll cover the steps we used to create two parallax-enabled sports graphics – a game introduction sequence and a player highlights sequence.
