Virtual Sets can be used for more than greenscreen-based full production sets. One of our favorite ways to leverage them is for dynamic (and eye-catching) graphic elements.
On today’s show, we’ll cover how we made an iPhone-like virtual set in vMix that can be used to display remote callers or to demo mobile applications. We’ll use the MERGE function in our vMix Preset to have the phone slide in from the side of the display and recenter the host in the remaining open space.
Our remote guests will be connecting via Gnural Net’s Call-In One solution, and we’ll go over a simple script that reads the metadata it provides to automatically trigger the iPhone “slide in” when a caller is sent ON-AIR.
