Teacher Demo: Photosynthesis
In this video, a student-teacher discusses tips for showing students a demonstration involving photosynthesis; that is, using solar energy to convert many small molecules of carbon dioxide and water into larger sugar molecules (which later join to form larger carbohydrates, like starch) that store much energy. This process releases extra oxygen molecules into the air. Green plants are, thus, excellent entities for capturing carbon dioxide molecules from the atmosphere and 'trapping' them in the form of energy-rich sugar while adding much-needed oxygen to the atmosphere.
