The mission of a pre-screener is to simplify the protocol inclusion and exclusion criteria for patients, so they can understand and answer the questions. At the same time, these questionnaires help save the research site time and help them prioritize which patients reach out and speak to.
You want to make sure to not have too many questions - somewhere between 10-20 questions is a good range. Of course, each question should be related to a protocol inclusion and exclusion criteria.
