Why Tigers are Orange 🐯

Tigers are orange because this color provides effective camouflage in their natural habitat.
You see, in the dense forests and grasslands where tigers live, the orange fur with black stripes mimics the appearance of sunlight filtering through trees and tall grass, making them less visible to prey. Interestingly, many prey animals, like deer, have dichromatic color blindness, meaning they can't distinguish between red and green hues. They see the tiger's orange fur as more of a greenish-brown, which enhances the tiger's camouflage even further. This adaptive coloration is crucial for their survival as stealthy predators.
