#thespectacularspiderman #season1 #episode2 #electro
Hey, guys, it’s, and in today’s video, I am talking about my favorite Spider-Man animated series, The Spectacular Spider-Man. In today’s video, we will be discussing season one, episode 2, titled "Interactions." At ESU, Dr.Connors and Eddie are experimenting with genetically altered electric rays and eels. They just imagine what it would be like if we could harness this bioelectricity to generate an alternative energy source. Peter and Gwen are shown this bioelectricity at the beginning of this episode. The lab had to upgrade its bioelectricity filters with Max Dillon's help. After Peter and Gwen leave, Dr.Connors is experimenting with generally altered lizard DNA. Max continues his work on the filters. He tries to unjam a filter, he struggles, and the drill falls onto the control panel. He goes to grab the drill, and the panel electrifies Max, sending his body back into the eel's aquarium, shattering the glass, and exposing him to bioelectricity sludge. After the freak accident, he seeks revenge on Dr. Connors, whom he knows can develop a cure.
First, let’s talk about Electro. He is rocking his classic star design with the yellow electricity. He was created because of a freak accident. Max Dillon from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: The New Animated Series suffered the same fate. The idea of being turned into a supervillain by a freak accident is fascinating. It showcases that most of these villains in the Spider-Man lore are just humans like you. The ones turned into monsters because these accidents can’t just take the suit off; they always stay monsters. In this series, most of the Sinister Six were turned into supervillains because of freak accidents. Even Peter Parker was turned into Spider-Man by a Spider-related accident. Electro action sequences are a feast for the eyes. The two fights between Electro and Spider-Man are exciting. Personally, the highlight between the two is the ESU lab fight. This is where Electro is filled with anger and lets it show. Spidey is constantly dodging blasts and devising a plan to defeat Electro. The fight takes a turn when it spills out onto a metal radio tower outside. Electro is absorbing all this raw power and letting his inner spark shine. After a blast from Electro, a 'W' letter from the tower crashes into a pool below. This gives Spidey the world’s biggest dunk tank. He swings around the tower and kicks Electro off, causing him to fall into the pool and defeat Electro. Electro is presumably taken into custody and moved to Ravencroft, where, for the next few months, he undergoes psychiatric rehabilitation under Dr. Kafka.
Interactions features the first freak accident in the series, showcasing Electro's electrifying raw power. His action sequences are engaging and set to a heavy metal score. Dr. Connors's lizard serum is impacted during the ESU fight, setting up episode three. Peter becomes Liz Allen's tutor, hinting at an eventual friendship. This episode continues The Spectacular Spider-Man's hot streak, as each episode improves. While Electro may not be the most complex supervillain, his appearances across different series will surprise you and make you like this character. He's fun and a top-notch Spider-Man supervillain. I’d love to see him in Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. What's your favorite version of Electro? I’m Spider-ManChris, and I will see you in the next one!
