He Tried Cleaning His PS5… Then RIPPED THE FAN CONNECTOR OFF
Bought this PS5 from Marketplace after the owner said it was overheating and he tried to fix it himself… once I opened it, I found much bigger problems.
The previous owner tried cleaning the console and accidentally ripped the fan connector straight off the motherboard — including the solder pads. Fortunately, he stopped at this moment. On top of that, the HDMI port was loose and ready to fail at any moment.

Rebuild the torn fan connector traces
Replace the damaged HDMI port
Upgrade the thermal interface with PTM 7950
Test the console after repair
This one turned into a serious motherboard repair instead of a simple cleaning job.
