Over the years, I have developed a real affinity for breezy upbeat jazz and the last 50 years have been filled with jazz artists and groups that have produced amazing pieces that are exactly that. Some deride this style of jazz as being unserious or not "real" jazz.
Frankly, as Rhett Butler would say, I don't give a damn! There are days when you just want music that fits your good mood or that will put you in a better mood. Music made for a drive along the coast on a beautiful summer day.
Over the decades, The Rippingtons have made some awesome music, including this tune, "Bingo Jingo", which is perfect for a summer day or a relaxing weekend. I challenge you to listen to this song and not find your mood lifted, if you weren't in a good mood already!
Just like movies, not all music has to be "serious" and designed to please the insufferable critics!! If the fans love it, isn't that what it is all about?!
I, for one, love The Rippingtons and I love this tune!!
