Jack Johnson and Ben Harper are 2 artists that I discovered because of these friends. Hanging out with them at night and on weekends, always accompanied by good music. A wonderful way for music to hook you. Which is what it did for me with both of these artists.
"Flake" is Jack Johnson's music in a nutshell. A man, his voice and a guitar, music that you can easily imagine him playing around a fire on the beach after a day of surfing.
