Last time, in Part 11, we took a look at the power of incorporating a regular gratitude practice, and by the time you watch this, you should have at least a week of gratitude lists completed so that you can move forward to expressing appreciation.
Gratitude provides a warm and fuzzy set of feelings for us individually, but expressing our gratitude by showing people how much we appreciate them has benefits for both ourselves, as we express that appreciation, and the other person, who receives it.
Feeling appreciated is a powerful motivating factor that has benefits in the workplace, romantic relationships, friendships, and families. When people feel appreciated, they do more, work harder, give more freely, and often times, open up to make themselves more vulnerable, so we can think of the expression of appreciation as the key to the proverbial city!
