Hong Kong has some of the highest density urban environments in the world, which has earned the city a nickname - “the concrete jungle”. And yet surrounding this concrete jungle is a real forest.
In recent years, more and more concrete has been used in country parks and green boundary zones, for access and for maintenance purposes. Whilst concrete looks like a convenient solution, it has serious negative long-term impact on our environment.
Our local trail running elite - Stone Tsang concerned about this situation, and founded an NGO (Concern Group on Concretisation of Natural Trails) with a group of like-minded volunteers. Their story inspired a documentary with the purpose of promoting trail conservation and responsible use through dialogue and community action
