KantanTranslate™
Now you can generate instant translations from your KantanMT engines thanks to KantanTranslate. KantanTranslate is part of the KantanWidgets™ suite of Productivity Apps. It can be easily embedded into any webpage, linked to your Custom KantanMT engines and from there you can translate content directly in the embedded text box.
The KantanMT platform will provide you with the source code to set up KantanTranslate. This can be copied and pasted directly into your webpage’s source code. Once the code is committed, the widget will then be fully integrated and functioning for your users.
Before you start using KantanTranslate, you will need to add the profiles you would like to use for translation to the alias ‘KantanTranslate’. For further information on this, please see the video, ‘Managing Profile Alias.’
To access the source code, navigate to your API tab and click the KantanTranslate button. There you will see the KantanTranslate widget with a button to generate the source code to embed it in your webpage.
Click Embed and a pop up window will appear. You will be required to enter your webpage URL and click Next. Then you have the option to configure the type of font and the colour of the button you want, to match the style of your website. Once configured, the code will appear and you can copy and paste it into your website source code.
Once KantanTranslate is embedded on your website, you just need to select the source and target languages, introduce the text you want to translate on the left box and click “Translate”. The API will then be launched and your translation will appear in the box on the right.
