Translating in Memsource with KantanAPI
This video will show you how to translate a document in Memsource using KantanAPI.
1. Install the KantanAPI Connector on on Memsource. For more information on this watch: (Name)
2. Create a new project by clicking “Create New” from the left menu. Enter a name and a language combination and scroll down to the Machine Translation tab under Settings.
3. Select the Machine Translation profile you want to use from the drop-down menu and, when you have configured all the other settings you click “Create”
4. Now enter your project and create a new job to translate a document.
5. Browse to the file you want to translate and click “Create”.
6. Once processed, open the document and click on the first empty target segment. If your API is running, the translation will appear automatically. Don’t worry if it doesn’t appear immediately, this means your API is not running and it will be started automatically on your KantanMT profile. The translation will appear after a few minutes.
7. If you want to pretranslate your document completely, select the file on your job menu and click “Pre-translate.” Once the process is finished, the whole document will be pretranslated and will be ready for the postediting.
