Translating in XTM with KantanAPI
This video will show you how to translate a document in XTM using KantanAPI.
1. Configure the KantanAPI Connector in XTM. For more information on this, please watch the related video tutorial.
2. Create a new translation project by clicking Add project.
3. Give a Name to your project, select the source and target languages and add the document you want to translate. Configure the rest of the options you might need for your project.
4. Scroll down to Machine Translation. Tick the box “Use Kantan machine translation” and select your engine from the drop down menu.
5. Once everything is configured, click Create. The API will be launched automatically and the document will be translated.
6. If your file appears to be untranslated, it might be that the API wasn’t launched when the system was analysing the text. In that case, you would only need to click the menu button, navigate to Actions and select Reanalyse project. After a short while, your document will be translated.
