I decided to take a trip back to the 90's and do a video that pretty much every Christian kid grew up listening to if you're about my age. I loved this song when I was younger, and it's still a good song. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)

When the band references themselves as "Jesus freaks", they're just claiming to be followers of Jesus. Pretty self-explanatory, but if, for some reason, you didn't understand that then this song just wouldn't make sense. Now you know.

"Kamikaze, my death is gain." This is referencing the bible verse from Phillipians 1:21. It says, "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." We should center everything around Christ. Death will bring us closer to him. Death is a fear for people who don't know God, but for those who do, it's a gain. Obviously, I'm not saying you should kill yourself to get to Jesus faster, but you shouldn't fear death because you know where you'll be after you die.

In the second rap part, the vocalist is talking about John the Baptist. John the baptist traveled the desert and wore camel hair as clothing. He was also known for eating locusts which were large grasshoppers. (Matthew 3) "The words he spoke made the people assume there wasn't too much left in the upper room." This is referring to the Day of Pentecost when about 120 of Jesus' disciples experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in this "upper room". "The Pharisees tripped when they heard him speak until the King took the head of this Jesus freak." The Pharisees were one of the factions that emerged during the Hasmonean era and they were made up of Jews. Eventually, John the Baptist was beheaded by the orders of King Herod Antipas and his head was served to the King on a platter. John the Baptist was a perfect example of a "Jesus freak". He died to fulfill God's purpose for his life.

If you have any more questions or comments feel free to message me or leave a comment on the video! Thanks! God Bless :)
