WBBM - CBS News Chicago at 11am open - New Set/Brand - 7/9/2024
WBBM the CBS owned station in Chicago returned to its street side studio for the first time in 7 years. That means with a new studio a new set debuted with design that looks similar to its sister stations in LA and Denver. This is the first 11am show In the new set yesterday they were in the newsroom for 11am show the last newscast from there and it wouldn’t be till later yesterday on the 4pm show when the set went online. Furthermore, they also ditched “CBS2” and changed to “CBS Chicago” and their newscasts on TV are no longer known as “CBS 2 News” and are now called “CBS News Chicago” which is also the name of their streaming newscast. That put all linear and streaming newscasts under one umbrella.
