WABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News at 11pm open (New Graphics) 1/13/2024
As speculated WABC debuted the new graphics we all knew it would be sometime in January and it’s here, this package is a major upgrade from the last cheap and ugly and blocky package they had. WABC usually had talent in there opens it looks like that era is over with this new look. They also introduced an interesting new cut of the Eyewitness News custom theme they received in 1999, If you listen closely it in the tropical of this opener it has a Tiempo upbeat in it. Now with this WABC becomes number 5 of the 8 stations in the group to roll out the new ABC O&O mandate graphics package. Still waiting for WPVI Philly, KABC Los Angeles, KGO San Francisco to switch over yet, I think WPVI will be the last because of their unique opens flashing the cities scenes in it might be customized.
