Ender 3 MAX NEO Y-Axis Linear Guide Upgrade Installation Guide

1.Remove the print platform plate.
2.Unscrew the 4 hand-tightened nuts.
3.Take off the heated bed assembly, and be sure to keep the screws for later use.
4.Loosen the Y-axis belt tensioner.
5.Remove both ends of the Y-axis timing belt.
6.Remove the Y-axis belt tensioner and keep it for future use.
7.Remove the entire Y-axis carriage from the Y-axis aluminum profile.
8.Remove the 6 POM wheels from the Y-axis carriage.
9.Attach the M4*8 screws and M4 T-nuts to the long bracket.
10.Place the 3D printed alignment jig on the frame to assist with installation.
11.Install the long bracket onto the aluminum profile. You can use the auxiliary part at the front end for alignment.The distance from the end of the enclosure to the long bracket is 20mm.
12.Mark the threaded holes on the long bracket (optional step).
13.Use M3*5 screws to install the linear guide rail onto the long bracket. A guide rail alignment jig (not shown in the video) can be downloaded for positioning.
14.Place a printed bracket on the guide block to trigger the Y-axis limit switch. Add one thick and one thin square silicone pad on top.
15.Place two thick and one thin square silicone pads on each of the remaining three guide blocks.
16.Place the short brackets on top of the silicone pads and secure them with M3*12 countersunk screws.
17.Place circular silicone pads on top of the short brackets.
18.Use M5*10 screws to secure the Y-axis carriage to the short brackets.
19.Reinstall the belt tensioner onto the Y-axis aluminum profile.
20.Attach both ends of the belt to the Y-axis carriage.
21.Adjust the belt to the proper tension.
22.Place the springs on the Y-axis carriage.
23.Install the heated bed plate onto the Y-axis carriage.
24.Place the print platform plate on top of the heated bed plate.
