New AMD RX 500 Graphics Cards!!!

The Polaris line of GPU's from AMD are getting a refresh in the form of the RX 500 lineup. This new lineup includes the RX 580, the RX 570, the RX 560 and the RX 550. These cards are basically higher clocked versions of their RX 400 series counterparts. The only real improvement comes from the RX 560 which has higher clocks and more stream processors than its counterpart the RX 460. AMD is also adding a brand new graphics card with the release of the RX 550. This is not a card I am excited about or looking forward to because on paper this thing looks to be incredibly weak compared to the rest of the lineup. The only thing that could help sales for the RX 550 would be a very low price tag, otherwise I can't see a reason to buy the RX 550 when there are cards like the RX 460 and RX 560 on the market. This is a really weird move from AMD to refresh a line of graphics cards less than a year after release and when sales are still strong. I hope AMD knows what they are doing because this could end up back firing and I don't want to see that happen. Really more than anything else I am hoping that this new line causes the former Polaris line to drop in price, the RX 400 series cards already brought high quality 1080p gaming at a low cost but the lower it goes the better for the consumers and competition in the market place.
