#shorts If your love for food feels more like an obsession over food than I want you to consider something important…

Dancers are especially at risk for obsessive eating patterns because of the need to balance the principles of sports nutrition. What ends up happening?

Red flags I see among dancers

🚩 Above-average and obsessive concern about one’s health.
🚩 Above-average and obsessive concern about ingredients or how food is prepared.
🚩 Compulsive checking of ingredient lists and nutritional labels.
🚩 Difficulty with eating foods outside a narrow list of foods deemed “healthy” or “clean.”

Orthorexia is the term used to represent the obsession with healthy eating 🥵 and it’s THE reason why I’ve created The Healthy Dancer®

Not only do we dismantle the nuance surrounding these topics, but also, dancers learn how to integrate nutrition without obsession.
