How queer people in Ukraine experience the war - Viktor, Kharkiv
"Hi, friends. My name is Viktor and I am a photographer, originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine. I had to change my a little bit glamorous life with photo shoots and fashion run shows, night clubs etc. to a life in a distant village in Ivano-Frankivsk region in the Western part of Ukraine because of the war.
My boyfriend and I had to evacuate my elder parents and gradually my boyfriend had to leave to Poland where he works now as a worker at a construction site. He works very hard. I miss him. I haven’t seen him for more than three months.
And the needs of my parents are as follows: We need to buy wood for heating during winter. My parents constantly need pampers because they are old and people in advanced age do need pampers as you may now.
We need help from all over the world to stay strong, to win. We believe that everything is going to be ok, but anyway we cannot stand without your assistance."
