The victims of the war were commemorated in all cities and memorials were erected in their memory. Minorities were protected by international agreements, but lost their rights due to rising nationalism. Women were given the right to vote and radiated their new self-confidence through their fashion at work and in the family. Modern homes, schools and hospitals provided a better life for many people. In their free time, they were able to take advantage of cultural and sports activities. Through railways and automobiles, they gained greater freedom of movement. In this film, images from all cities involved in the project are shown. This makes it clear that society has modernized in a similar way in all states.
