Mount Burangrang is a mountain located in West Java Province, Indonesia. It is located in West Bandung Regency and is part of a mountain range surrounding the Bandung area.
Mount Burangrang is also an old, inactive volcano. Geologically, it is believed to be part of the large caldera of Mount Sunda Purba, along with Mount Tangkuban Parahu and Mount Tilu. Mount Sunda Purba was once a large volcano that erupted violently, leaving a caldera, which then formed new mountains around it. Altitude: Approximately 2,050 meters above sea level (masl). Location: West Bandung Regency, bordering Lembang and Cisarua. This mountain is very easy to reach from Bandung City, making it a favorite destination for local climbers.
