Mount Burangrang is one of the mountains located in West Java Province, Indonesia. This mountain is situated in the area of West Bandung Regency and is part of the mountain range that surrounds the Bandung area.
Mount Burangrang is also part of the old, inactive volcanoes. Geologically, this mountain is believed to be part of the large caldera of the ancient Sunda Volcano, along with Mount Tangkuban Parahu and Mount Tilu. The ancient Sunda Volcano was once a large volcano that erupted violently, leaving behind a caldera that later formed new mountains around it. Elevation: Approximately 2,050 meters above sea level (asl). Location: West Bandung Regency, bordering Lembang and Cisarua. This mountain is very easily accessible from the city of Bandung, making it one of the favorite destinations for local hikers.
