# 5 Tecsun Pl-990 Scanning Short Wave
In this video, I started out by deleting all the stored memories from PO-all the way through24 in the Tecsun PL-990 Short Wave Radio. I am not quite sure how I did so. I hooked up the 100' Random Wire to the telescopic antenna using an alligator clip. I scanned short wave frequencies, which did store in PO Memory Bank. Next I scanned Medium Wave, which stored in Memory Bank 1. And finally, I used the tuning control to view what was stored. So, early morning was fine for MW, not so much for Short Wave.
By showing you how the radio works, I hope to help some of you in deciding whether you want to purchase the PL-990.
And yes, I just caught the spelling mistake. Tecsun vs. Tecsun. Hey, I'm old and a bit senile. LOL.
