# 4 Tecsun Pl-990 Playing with Scan Feature
In this video I am playing with the scan feature. I thought I was scanning the SW and that those new frequencies would be overwritten on PO1, but that did not overnight. Oh, well, live and learn. At least you can see how fast the scan feature works. It does pick up a lot of frequencies that are just static, but quickly tuning the band allows you to find the ones that are strong enough to play with. You will see lots of MW frequencies which were previously stored.
I also forgot to turn off the overhead light so the color quality is poor. Better luck next time. I am trying to use the Sony A600 camera along with the Zoom H1n Recorder. I did not have the audio turned on the camera, so synching was a nightmare.
I do love the Tecsun PL-990, but I struggle trying to learn all the frequencies and numbers are not my thing.
The radio was connected to a 100 foot random wire which was clipped onto the telescopic antenna with an alligator clip.
