I do like this smaller Tecsun PL-330 Short Wave Radio. Today I ran a few scans using the MLA-30+ Loop Antenna. I ran a SW scan and watched the radio store the frequencies in the PO Memory Bank. As you will see, the radio scan was fairly quick, although lots of static was noted as good hits. I ran the scans to see what. stations were selected. Some were remarkably clear. Of course, most. stations are religious or in Spanish. The radio did overwrite previous stored frequencies as it was supposed to do. The radio is small and almost fits in my shirt pocket. In upcoming videos, I will try scanning with the telescopic antenna while outside.
For someone who wants to try out Short Wave Listening without spending a lot of money, this radio is ideal. One thing I like about the Tecsun Radios is that they are all great at finding stations. Of course, why have just one when you can have several, each radio being unique and yet similar.
But,...........if you think you might want to buy more than one as you become more familiar with Short Wave, I would recommend buying the Tecsun H-501x as it has such a great sound, and it does not cost more than buying several, radios like I did.
