Chill Guitar Beat | Neo-Soul Guitar Solo | Jazz Improvisation
Here is an improvisation in the key of D minor. I am currently creating an EP and part of my creative process is improvising over vibey chord progressions that I turn into beats. After improvising melodic lines on the guitar, I begin to generate themes and the track begins to take shape.
For this track, I am simply using the chords Fmaj7 to Dmin9 (try it out or play along). I am using my Fender Stratocaster plugged direct in to my focusrite scarlett 2i2. In ableton I am using Amplitube 4 and I created a patch with the Fender Custom Shop "twin reverb" that really has a great blues/jazz hybrid going on. I finish the chain with Waves CLA2A to give it some consistency in dynamics.
