BIT:1 introduction to biotechnology|branches of biotechnology
Aoa! MY name Is Ehsan and welcome to Biology with Ehsan
In this lecture we started a new chapter from biology second year textbook of biology. Here we started introduction to biotechnology which is the most interesting field of biology. We discussed the definition of biotechnology, history of biotechnology and different branches of biotechnology.
We discussed the red biotechnology or medical biotechnology, green biotechnology or agricultural biotechnology, blue biotechnology or marine biotechnology, white biotechnology or industrial biotechnology, fermentation biotechnology and environmental biotechnology. We also discussed the layout of the chapter and important topics like cloning of genes, DNA sequencing, DNA analysis, Polymerase chain reaction, tissue culture, genetically modified organisms etc.
