Welcome to We Lift You, where we guide you to lift smarter and safer every time.
Today, we’re dialing in the Standing Cable Crossover, a highly effective isolation exercise that targets your chest muscles, especially the lower chest while enhancing muscle definition and control.
✅ Step-by-Step Guide to Standing Cable Crossovers:
• Adjust both cable pulleys to the highest setting on a dual cable machine.
• Attach D-handles and grab one in each hand.
• Step forward into a split stance for balance, lean slightly forward, and keep your chest up.
• Extend your arms out to the sides with a slight bend in the elbows, palms facing down or slightly inward.
• Engage your core and glutes to stabilize your body.
• Keep your shoulders down and back—avoid shrugging as you begin the movement.
• Exhale as you pull both handles down and across your body, aiming to bring your hands together below your chest.
• Keep tension on the chest. Don’t let the weights slam or pull your arms too far back.
• Inhale as you return the handles to the starting position, and exhale as you press the handles forward and downward during the contraction.
