The final week of the West Coast Railways 2014 Jacobite season was from Monday 20th October - Friday 24th October. LNER K1 Class 2-6-0 no 62005 would haul the daily Fort William to Mallaig and return service throughout the final week. In at times atrocious weather, we see the K1 at various locations along the line for the outward runs of the tour. Having hopes of similar weather conditions to previous years, I arrived on Saturday in sun, from Sunday to Friday I got six days of rain, then drove home the following Saturday in sun! The worst weather I could get but the performances put on by the K1 and West Coast driving crews speak for themselves.
