Great Central Railway - Autumn Steam Gala 2015
From Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th of October, the Great Central Railway held their Autumn steam gala. This year, the event had no guest locomotive, instead GWR Hall Class 4-6-0 No 6990 Witherslack Hall was the star of the event, returning to steam after an absence of fifteen years, just days prior to the event. The Hall had been having some troubles with a hot-box earlier in the week. However after some very long hours put in by the team down at Loughborough shed, the issues were rectified and the Hall was running in top form on Sunday. Running alongside the Hall were the usual GCR home fleet. Footage filmed on Saturday and Sunday of the event.
