4464 The Bittern Farewell Tour 30/12/14
With her mainline certificate at expirie point, LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 No. 4464 (60019) Bittern powers along the mainline one last time before withdrawal for overhaul. Run by UK Railtours, Bittern would lead her farewell run from London Kings Cross, along her old stomping grounds on the ECML to Peterborough where she would head into Lincoln via Werrington Jn and Spalding. In perfect weather conditions, we see the A4 twice powering away from Werrington Jn making up for lost time near Glinton.
