The Secure Reliable Transport protocol – SRT – has quickly become one of the core technologies used in modern video infrastructures. While SRT itself is content agnostic at a technical level, it’s use enables IP-based video and audio streams to reliably traverse otherwise unreliable networks like the Internet – essential for remote/cloud-based productions.
On today’s show, we’ll go over SRT in detail, and cover how to connect multiple remote PTZOptics cameras directly as inputs in a vMix Preset – without using any computers on the remote side.
