1/13: Four Variations on a Theme in A major, Op. 51: Capriccio festoso (rifacimento) No. 1 for Two Synthesizers: “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”, GSO 102
Beginning the sixth album, like it began the first, was "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." I took all that I had learned from both classical and electronic composition and put it in this piece, adding a little acquired flare here and there (especially at the end). I figured it would be a great start to the remake album.
TRIVIA: That is a recording of me intentionally playing my violin badly. My playing was supposed to gradually improve in musical professionalism, but honestly, I never was that great at playing the instrument, anyway, so apologies for the lack of improvement maybe noted. At least now you understand why the original had that disjointed violin sample at the beginning; it was purely intentional.
Album number 6--formerly known as 1^2 and later known as Revival--was the sixth album of the First Generation of music I had made, still under the stage name Tock. This album was fully meant to be a remake album of all my songs on Nascency. Before its conception, I could not decide if it should be album number 4 or a special one named 1^2. I rewrote "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and "War" first and decided that 1^2 would be best, leaving 4 to be an album of pure originals. However, I did not complete this album until during album number 5. So I decided to officially and permanently change the title to 6: Revival, with aesthetics similar to 1 strewn throughout. All samples are provided by FL Studio and Garritan Personal Orchestra 4.
ALBUM TRIVIA: This album is also the first to feature the two new symbols of Tock, replacing the T and the clock on previous albums. The symbols, especially the left, T-shaped one, are very meaningful to me and my survival throughout high school, so I desired they adorn my album covers with them to portray my evolution in musical composition.
I hope you enjoy!
