UPPER BARRAKKA GARDENS IN VALLETTA, MALTA
When you are visiting Valletta, the capital city of Malta, you must include Upper Barrakka Gardens in your itinerary.
The gardens are overlooking the Grand Harbour and you will get to see the Three Cities from a distance. You can visit the Saluting Battery for a small fee and watch the shooting from the canon at noon (the canon shooting is viewable from the Upper Barrakka Gardens as well).
The Upper Barrakka Gardens are one of the best spots in Malta for sunrise watching and on Thursday's at around 7am, you will get a chance to see a giant MSC cruise entering the Grand Harbour.
