My next tip for trip is the BLUE LAGOON. When you search the top places to visit in Malta, the Blue Lagoon will surely be on the list. This turquoise lagoon is located on the island of Comino which is the third biggest however uninhabited island of Malta.
Apart from crashing on the rocky coast to swim in the sea, there is plenty to explore. There are trekking paths which will take you to amazing viewpoints and swimming spots.
Comino has another beautiful bays such as Santa Maria Bay and San Niklaw Bay. You can also visit the watch tower (it was closed when I came) and if you feel like staying overnight, there is a campsite and a hotel.
There are few kiosks to buy some food and drinks and also public toilets.
One cannot rent a sun chair nor umbrella any longer which is great because before you weren't able to find a spot for a towel. What people do is they take their own umbrella/ folding chair and you rent a concrete block with a hole which will hold the umbrella :)
I suggest you to bring your own water if you are taking the first ferries, strong sunblock, hat and sarong because there is NO shade. Also don't expect sandy beaches. there couple of mini sandy areas but they get packed due to its comfort. If you want to enjoy yourself, bring your 'water shoes' for and easy access to the sea from anywhere :) and snorkel!
