On this day we explored a part of Victoria Lines in Bingemma. The Victoria Lines are a 12km long fortifications which span along the width of Malta.

This line of fortifications was built by the British military in 19th century and was designed to present a physical barrier to invading forces landing in the north of Malta. They weren't tested in a battle though.

Today if you look up Victoria Lines on maps.google, it will direct you to Bingemma. You can park your car next to the chapel of Our Lady of Itria and find the access the the remains of the Victoria Lines on your right.I will be frank with you that the fortification which you will see from the chapel is the most interesting part of it and you will get a chance to walk it to the other side. The rest will be a scenic trek.

On our way back, we noticed multiple caves in the valley under the fortifications and decided to have a closer look.....watch the video to find out what we came across! :)
