This time I put my travel shoes on and went for a trek to Gnejna Bay, Malta. I haven't explored this area of Malta before and it exceeded my expectations. In fact, I thought that I wouldn't be able to do any trekking due to 'private property' signs but to my surprise there was an accessible concrete road going uphill which turned into a clay path.
I've parked my car at the parking of Gnejna Bay. First I went to check the limestone platforms on right and noticed a recent landslide which buried a big chunk of it and was even fenced off for the public safety.
Afterwards I passed by the sandy beach where is a kiosk offering F&B and assumed that there should be some path behind all those boathouses. And there was one :)
Follow the road and you will get to see a beautiful countryside, blissful seaviews of Gnejna, Tuffieha, Golden Bay...even Gozo island and at the end of the trek, if you don't give up after seeing massive fallen rocks in your way, you will get to see the cherry on a cake - Fomm ir-Rih
