Based on the radio character turned pulp hero created in the 1930s and refined by Walter B. Gibson. There was a movie made about the character in 1994 with Alec Baldwin but despite some nifty visuals it was a critical and financial flop.
Maybe it's time for a remake, with a slightly different angle?
I was thinking a slightly new origin story.
-
A soldier from the second world war stumbles across The Temple of Cobras, and as the only survivor retrieves the mystic ability to cloud men's minds and become invisible.
Returning stateside he embarks initially on a reign of crime using these abilities to try and achieve enough wealth and power to find peace, but as time goes on he notices his own deeds, and the dark deeds of others.
Criminal turned vigilante, the Shadow knows all too well the evil that lurks in the hearts of men.
I included a hint at another vintage heroine too: Ghost.

The music is Arsonist's Lullaby by Hozier.
