M.E.A.T has the unique premise of being a roleplaying game set in the Gold Rush era in a Canadian outpost. The miners dug too greedily and too deep and unearthed something more than gold, something which is corrupting and mutating the animals and humans.
And you have your own problems: a vengeful Spirit of the Past who wants you to hunt down deserters, mad scientists, and others with debts that need to be paid in blood.
It's been awhile since my muse was activated, but this obscure game did it for me. M.E.A.T has had a mixed reception but it reminded me of another cult film Ravenous and I love a good blending of genres, especially western and horror.
