As UPS national negotiations continue, rank-and-file Teamsters like John – a member of Local 25 in Boston – are bringing their first-hand experiences and concerns to the bargaining table every day. They know the issues better than anyone and they know what's needed to win a strong contract.
"I am on the Article 37 subcommittee dealing with 9.5 and harassment language," said John. "Back in Boston, I'm signing 9.5 grievances every week. I run it every day. I know what happens. It's been getting worse and worse, and the hours keep getting longer. It's been great to have this opportunity to be directly involved in negotiations and to see how scared the company looks when Sean walks into the room."
