UPS Rank-and-File Focus: Sal Valente
"We've worked tirelessly throughout this whole pandemic, making the company record profits. We're asking for a little back now – be it more time off, extra weeks’ vacation, extra days. We believe we deserve it. After this long pandemic, we’re working 24/7, understaffed, getting our asses kicked. In the meantime, the company is making record profits. So yeah, now it's our time to get what we deserve," says Sal, a UPS package driver and member of Local 25 in Boston.
Sal is one among many other UPS Teamsters who are highly engaged at the bargaining table, pushing for improvements to put an end to excessive overtime and fight the company on other issues that matter to their co-workers.
