Teamsters like Earl Wilson know Anheuser-Busch can afford a lucrative contract protecting all Teamster jobs. That’s because Wilson, a member of Local 947 in Jacksonville, Fla., puts in the hard work that makes Anheuser-Busch hugely profitable.
How profitable? Enough that Anheuser-Busch inked a $100 million sponsorship of UFC in 2023, announced $1 billion in stock buybacks to wealthy investors, and most recently publicized its sponsorship of the world’s “premier professional bull riding organization.”
When it comes to the people who make this company run, Teamsters will accept nothing less than the contract we deserve. A contract that raises wages and provides job security for all hardworking Teamsters.
“We should be compensated because Anheuser-Busch is making billions and billions of dollars. Then they want to make money off our backs, off Teamsters working hard and showing up to work every day to do a good job,” Wilson said.
